Dr. Stone graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in biomedical engineering (as well as a second degree in biology). His educational experience had an emphasis on robotics and advanced technology. He completed his medical degree from U.T. Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He then went on to complete his residency in general surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Stone has lectured about emerging and future technology in surgery. He is considered a leading voice in the field of advanced surgical technology and techniques. He currently serves as President of the Medical Staff at Methodist Richardson Medical Center.
